HR professionals make decisions every day that balance the company’s business objectives and the needs of its employees. Miscalculating this balance creates legal risk or causes business leaders to perceive HR as an obstacle. This discussion will explore this balance and provide strategies by which HR professionals can protect the interests of both employees and employers. The guidance of HR professionals who are knowledgeable in the area of best HR practices, employment law, and a solid understanding of business operations will help companies achieve business results and meet the needs of employees.

This session will include:

  • Best HR practices and how they interface with best business practices

  • Strategies for creating a partnership between upper management and Human Resources

  • Strategies for applying employment law to every day operations of the organization
